Just a quick test at home using my DSLR to see what it's like to make a stop motion using that instead of a dv camcorder.

Certainly more creative options with manual focus and depth of field etc and options to mess with lighting/exposure etc (possible idea for motion blur - long exposures? something to try).
Not able to onionskin on the computer though, so much more likely to cock it all up if you move something and don't realise, although it is possible to flick through the pictures on the fly.
